What a shame

While thousands of people came and enjoyed the festival on Saturday it was a shame that some showed a lack of respect for the organisers, emergency services and for the community.

Parking on one side of Parkfield Avenue is suspended on festival day for safety reasons. Should there be an emergency, blue light vehicles need to get onto site as quickly as possible via the Parks depot. Parking is suspended to ensure that even if tradffic is heavy, they can get through.

Unfortunately some people think their convenience is more important than the community’s safety. Shame on you.

  1. Maybe we can get a big banner made for next year saying Please keep clear for emergency vehicles as well as putting the cones down. Might help a bit.
