This year there will be a parade around the site from 11:30am. Listen out for the Dohl drummers and the whistles and join in the fun.
The Parade starts by the Wooler Avenue entrance and finishes at the Main Stage at 12:00pm, when the Festival will be officially opened by the Children’s Lord Mayor of Leeds, Hannah Begum.

We have a host of activities ranging from arts and crafts and donkey rides to the climbing wall, inflatables and zorbing.
A range of sporting activities in and around the Multi Use Games Areas including tennis, cricket, BMX bikes, football and athletics. Have a go at four sports and win a medal!
Once again Marshall Waddington brings his fun fair to Beeston Festival with a range of rides.
Check out the Beeston Festival cafe in the Watsonian Pavilion serving tea & coffee, sandwiches and cakes; or try a burger from the festival barbecue.
There will also be stalls offering pizza, Indian and West Indian food.
The Bazaar contains over a hundred stalls selling clothes, jewellery, plants and cakes. There are plenty of tombolas and information stalls too.
