Reetwirlers majorettes is a non-profited majorette group who train in Beeston. We have over 60 members and have been running for over 18years. We take from the age of 3 to open age and are very welcoming. We train baton, poms, military, flag and combination.

Experience the soul and vibe of Hip Hop with Phil as he kicks things off with a high-energy live performance, then dive into a fun and easy-to-follow dance session. HelloHipHop workshops are perfect for all abilities and guaranteed to leave young dancers buzzing with feel-good energy!
AJ Collins Dance Academy – 1pm
We are a vibrant dance school based at the new Kurdish Community centre in Holbeck. We offer exciting street dance and contemporary classes for children ages 5 and up. Helping young dancers build confidence, creativity, and skills both in the dance hall and outside of classes. For adults we offer fun dance fit classes, where you don’t even recognise your working out! We harbour a come as you are, no experience needed welcoming environment and we want everyone to feel like they can just turn up, join in and be a part of a welcoming non-judgmental small dance family!
LS-TEN Denham Hill – 1:20pm, 2:45pm & 3:30pm
Denham Hill is a top Pro Freestyle Skateboarder, ranked in the top 10 worldwide and representing the U.K at contests across the world. When Denham isn’t skating, he’s teaching others how to skate and coordinating community projects at LS-TEN Skatepark right here in Leeds.
Freestyle Skateboarding takes place entirely on flat ground, consisting of technical tricks and footwork linked together to form routines and sequences. Imagine a combination of skateboarding, figure skating, and breakdancing!
YesizweProduction – 1:25pm & 3:35pm
YesizweProduction is a group of Southern African dancers, drummers, and musicians who enjoy and are interested in showcasing their traditional culture by performing for an audience. They work with the Master of Dummer, who has travelled worldwide, teaching Drum Global and more schools, Mr Tongesayi Gumbo.
Kalinka BCN – 1:45pm
An immaculate story telling, through Rhythm, expressions and spoken poetry. The dance narrates the story and different states of minds of migrating workers who are distraught between the transitions of life. Adorned by the rhythmic compositions of feet, story is a unique style of Indian dance with spoken poetry to create drama and impressions.
This work is a solo dance piece with music created by Mohit Gangani and Dramaturgy Vaishak M.

‘As reigning champions of Leeds West Indian Carnival, winning Best on Stage and Best Troupe Overall 2024 with Carnival Troupe ‘AZUL’, RJC Dance Youth Provision members Shahck Out Youth Dance will be bringing Carnival energy and culture to Beeston Festival this year.
RJC Dance is based at the Mandela Centre in Chapeltown and is the leading inclusive Black British dance organisation in the North empowering young people, adults and elders through dance, movement and exercise, supported by Arts Council England and Leeds City Council.
We’re so proud to be part of Beeston Festival for the third year running, which is a celebration of everything that’s good in our diverse and vibrant arts and cultural community here in Leeds. A huge thank you to the event organisers for inviting us.

Hi this is Sreenanda. I am an Indian classical dancer and my performance will be a presentation of classical dance with fusion of Bollywood. My performance is a tribute to the Indian classical dance forms with a fusion of Bollywood and I am extremely excited to bring this concoction to the festival.
Leeds Baton Rouge Majorettes – 4:15pm
Leeds Baton Rouge Majorettes, based in Middleton have been running for 16 years. We have dancers aged 4 to 30 years old who all train with us twice a week. We compete in Regional and National Competitions with several of our dancers being selected for the England Majorette Team who are due to complete in August in Italy.
