RDC Solider – 2:20pm
RDC Soldier, born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, is a pioneering artist renowned for creating the Lingala Hip Hop genre—a fusion of French, English, and traditional Congolese sounds. Relocating to London in 2002, he has been instrumental in promoting Congolese culture through his music.
In 2023, RDC Soldier released his acclaimed album Nzambe Ya Rap (God MC), featuring ten tracks that blend contemporary hip-hop with traditional Congolese rhythms. The album includes notable singles such as “UJANA,” which addresses the issue of child prostitution, and “Mama Congo,” a heartfelt tribute highlighting the ongoing crises in the Democratic Republic of Congo. 
Beyond his musical achievements, RDC Soldier has shared stages with international artists including Akon, Sean Paul, 50 Cent, Nelly, Tyga, Rick Ross, Wizkid, and Davido. Notably, he supported Nelly at the O2 Academy in Leeds on June 5, 2016, performing to an audience of over 2,500, and joined 50 Cent at Manchester Arena on November 6, 2016, receiving an excellent reaction from the crowd.
A vocal advocate for peace and a prominent figure for Congolese youth, RDC Soldier’s innovative style and dedication have earned him recognition, including being the first Congolese artist mentioned in the UK Telegraph. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, he performed at the #Lox event at O2 Indigo on May 17, 2023, further solidifying his impact on the global music scene.
Committed to empowering his local community, RDC Soldier promotes emerging artists and has collaborated with organizations such as Studio12 Leeds and the BBC. His efforts have been acknowledged with awards including Best Male African Rapper in Yorkshire and Best Congolese Rapper in the UK.
RDC Soldier continues to defend and elevate Lingala Rap/Hip Hop, striving to bring Congolese music to a global audience.

With a unique lineup featuring 2 talented keyboard players, a skilled guitarist and 2 vocalists, Romane Gytars delivers a sound that is both soulful and energetic. Their diverse repertoire and passionate stage presence make them a standout act, celebrating Romani culture while captivating audiences of all musical tastes.
